will it start with ether? the CPS triggers starting enrichment,
without it the car won't start (without help). however, it doesn't
prevent spark and fuel injection function should a combustible mixture
make it into the cylinders.

it's one of: fuel, air, electrics. if it starts with ether and runs,
you've eliminated fuel and air.
