Max:

Brake fluid eats paint.  Quickly.

A sponge with water to pick up spills should be handy when you're
doing brake fluid work.

If the container you're storing the opened fluid in is airtight, then
I don't see any reason to worry about storing it in that container for
a *second* use.  If you have to open the container more than once
after the original opening, I'd just throw it away and start new.
Brake fluid is relatively cheap.

I would bleed into a container - absolutely not get the stuff on my
painted wheels, and who knows what it could do to tires, if left to
sit.  Maybe nothing.  But why take a chance?
