Yes, I def. want to say ditto that, Jay was a *refreshing pleasure* to
deal with on the hoses, fersure.

Let me know if the used hose solves you, just curious as I can live with
the slight groan.

Jay at HOH just called - by the way they are SUPER to work with - Jay is
refunding my money. They just can't make the PS hose work. I'd have no
reservation about going to them for a J hose though.

I called Chris at Force 5 and he has a used PS hose - $75. I took it.

Anybody besides me ever use House of Hose to rebuilt their power
steering
hose? I'm talking about the one that runs from the hydraulic
pump to the
rack. Not the J-hose. I don't see anything in the archives
about an S4/S6
	owner doing this yet.

I got mine back (looked great) and now it shudders real bad when
I turn the
wheel with the car stopped or moving slowly. And it whines. I
talked to
Jay about it and he said there was some kind of lining inside
the original
hose that was worn so he couldn't reuse it. He didn't think it
would matter
at the time. So upon hearing my story he send me a new swivel
connector
with a restrictor to make it the same inside diameter as the
original. I
	installed it - no joy.

So I'm asking - anybody ever have success with a HOH rebuilt PS
hose? Any
	ideas?

Yes, I SHoH'd both my rack and pump PS hoses this winter due to
leaks, not sound / feel. Now I get same as you. Hoped it'd bleed out
by now but no real change. It's sort of intermittent, mostly to the
lift, and does sometimes produce a 'feel' spot in the rack (hard to
describe 'graunch' feeling). Fluid is topped up just over the high line
due to addition when it was bleeding.

SHoH was cheap (< ~ $150 for both, shipped), the results stopped
the leaking - and created a sound / slight feel. Do I care? Not
particularly, not worth the aggravation at this point.

	HTH you feel unalone 8-).
