[s-cars] New sensor still got codes

I haven't been following this thread, but I had the same issue on my
S2 (ABY engine, almost identical to the AAN). I tried changing sensors
and all that stuff, but nothing worked. Car would still randomly cut
out and leave that "Engine speed sensor (G28) - Implausible signal -
Intermittent"-code.
Well, later on I had to change an ignition coil due to a misfire
condition. After changing the coil the car has not once cut out nor
have I gotten the aforementioned fault code! My best guess is that the
bad coil was shorting out, the ECU went crazy and somehow reported
this misleading fault code.
Not saying that your fault is the same, but it's a good guess.

Markus
