Yes I was/am Teddy, thank you.  I think I tried to use those gaskets on the
5K but they were such a PITA I ditched them.

Now about the moisture in my footwell?

are you talking about where the axleshafts attach to the transmission?
i used silicone RTV in place of the paper gasket.  no adverse effects,
as you say.
