At $50ish, for a good set of whipers, this is not so bad. I just installed
the local iconsish Reflex whipers and they were only slightly cheaper, and
their longevity is not that good.

Out of curiosity I recently tried a set of the Bosch Icons, and found that
they didn't do a very good job of conforming to the windshield. Maybe I
could have tried the bend-the-wiper-arm trick and had better results.
Instead, I switched back to my two year old PIAA silicone blades, which are
still working very well. The longevity of these wipers is impressive, and
they are quiet and work well. They have the "aerofoils" on them, but I'm
not sure they do anything, since the orientation doesn't seem to make a
difference (I tried them upside down and they worked just as well.) The
only problem with these wipers was the price -- $50ish for the set from tire
rack as I recall -- but in retrospect it seems worth it.
