I use a VW-Audi tool which I bought a long time ago for my VW, it has an
offset 1/4" square drive for extra torque. You can also borrow an O2 socket
from AutoZone, they rent tools for free. These work much better than a
open-end or box wrench.

I had good results removing mine with a 22mm box-end wrench. Just unplug
the
O2 sensor and put the wire through the box end. Now the trick is to reach
through the the rubber flap where the tie rod goes through above the
passenger side tire and grab the wrench. You may need to jack the car up
slightly especially if you are lowered. This allows lots of leverage and the
box end wrench will provide a fairly good grip.

It's obviously not a stretch to get to, but mine looks like it's been there
a while, and didn't budge using the tool I used to change the one on my cq.
Anybody have any useful advice for getting it out.....lubes, tools, etc?
Thanks
