[s-cars] S8 FS in NY - Price to good to be true?

Thanks for the tip.  Very useful, but, as you say, a disappointingly short
history.

Setting aside this particular S8, there is still an extremely peculiar drop
in used S8 prices in the US.  Why is this?  Is it the rising price of
gasoline?  Operating/maintenance cost?  Bad Consumer Report ratings?
Insurance premiums?  What?

I've been watching eBay for a few months and it seems that good 2001 S8s are
fetching around $20,000, which seems very cheap, especially if you compare
this with S8 prices in Germany where they are at least 20,000 Euros, which
is 30% more --- in Germany!

What gives?
