The sensor mounts in the lower grill - top center.
The first thing would be to replace the bulb for the display. Pull
the instrument cluster (two Phillips screws from underneath. Pull
off the lower trim strip freed by removing the screws. Remove three
move Phillips screws along lower edge of IC. Slide the IC toward you
and tip the top toward you. Disconnect several electrical connectors
now exposed. Extract the IC in the general direction of the RF window.
The OAT display is held in the bottom of the IC by two small Phillips
screws. Remove these screws and carefully disassemble the
display. Keep careful track of what comes from where and in which
orientation. Once the bulb is disclosed desolder it and solder a new
bulb in its place. A replacement bulb is available at your nearby
Radio Shack. It is their smallest grain of wheat bulb (two to a blister pack).
Put it all back together. If you still have no display then look to
the sensor unit and/or the wiring for the sensor.
