[s-cars] Declared value insurance

When I still had my coupe insured with AAA before going to Hargarty, I used
to get the car appraised, and every year I would give the company the new
appraisal. This then became the value that the car was insured for. Might give
it a try.

Has anyone successfully gotten a decent declared value policy written for
his/her car?

I know lots of listers have pretty extensively modified cars and a fair
number of people have other cars
that are also quite valuable, unusual and/or rare.

I've tried Grundy and Hagerty, neither will write a policy on a 2004 Subaru
WRX STi and am looking for
other suggestions. While I cannot live with a policy that is so restrictive
that I can't ever let the car out of
my sight, I can live with restrictions such as that the car must be normally
kept in a secured garage,
or that I can't use it to drive to work.

Thanks,
Taka
