[s-cars] Couple rookie urS4 questions

Is there anything that can be done to improve steering feel?  I admit, I
never thought I'd enjoy driving a 2 ton vehicle as much as I do my 93, but I
do want for a little more feel.

Also, where would one begin to diagnose a cruise control that just plain
doesn't work?  All the mechanicals seem to be in place.  Is there a known
item that commonly fails here?  Is there an dash light that illuminates when
it's activated?

One more thing.  My car could use an alignment.  For mostly street and
backroad driving, should I stick with the factory settings, or are there
recommended settings that people use to reduce understeer without
compromising tire wear too much?  Can a fairly respectable shop do the work,
or is it best to let the dealer handle it?
