I could use an assist in searching for the potential culprit here.

Symptom:

Intermittent/random engine shut down while driving. Sudden and  
complete loss of power.
Downshifting , clutch popping, nothing can restart this baby until I  
sit by the side of the road for a while.
Started happening this summer, - warm weather related, I dunno.

pulled the codes, 2242.- ECU receiving too much or too little voltage.

So, besides the obvious exercise of ensuring the voltage to the ECU  
is correct, >> and btw, what is the best place to measure that voltage ?
Somewhere off the alternator, I assume.

Any other troubleshooting tips? Ideas, comments, suggestions?
