...I have found the culprit.
August, 2005 - replaced #5 coil.
January, 2006 - miss began under WOT / or greater than
3/4 throttle - car going into "limp-home" mode
limiting boost to WG Spring pressure (~5psi).
Replaced ALL hose clamps! Pressure tested system.
Tested with lots of spare parts from willing loanersd
(Thanks Rob and Lance).
Replaced lots of known wear items (see previous posts
for list).
This weekend, started replacing coil packs from a box
of spares I bought off an s-car lister (thanks Alvin).
( Now i can use the rest for testing for point of
failure issues)
Replaced 1 through 4 as 5 had been recently replaced.
No positive effect.
Replaced #5. WOO-HOO!!!! Boost is back!.
Upno examining #5, no VAG part number on it, but a
BERU part number was on label. Part number cross
references to 100 / A6 / S2 / RS2. Not same part
number as S4/S6.
OEM removed: Audi # 034 905 105 - BERU # 0 040 100 009
# 5 replaced with coil ehich only has BERU # 0 040 100
043
Issued resolved.
