[s-cars] Gas smell when hard on throttle?

I had something similar happen to me on my 93' S4. Do you hear a whine sound when your in the throttle? That sound is the fuel by-passing the pressure line in the fuel rail into the return line. Are you experiencing lower engine performance than what your used to? Try pulling the FPR and take a look at the O-rings and the mesh screen. I replaced mine with a good spare because I found the small O-ring in the center was damaged and starting to come apart and my mesh screen was broken and distorted. I believe that in my scenario, fuel was by-passing the pressure line and going into the return line of the fuel rail. Therefore I was having less fuel pressure and I also had very slow spool-up time and the "kick" was missing from the Pastore/RS2 mods. Now that I replaced it, I have my car back to what I remember.
