ron,

i decided to just buy the kit from 034motorsports when i bought the
GT2871. it includes the silicone intake hose (required because the
garrett has a larger intake), which costs $230 by itself. the oil and
water lines with gaskets, nuts, and other parts add another $300 as a kit,
so coughing up $400 to get the full-blown kit with the turbo wasn't too
difficult to do.

i could probably piece everything together myself for less, but the
savings wouldn't be large. the oil line restrictor is a must on
garrett GT ball bearing turbos, but i don't think it's required for
your T04E. you'll need flanges to connect to the oil inlet/outlet on
the turbo. you can buy them on ebay. although i have made a lot of
braided steel oil and brake lines, i figured it'd be a lot of work
just to save maybe $50, so i bought the kit.

i haven't decided whether to properly replace the coolant line that goes
behind the timing belt, or just cut it and clamp the new braided steel
coolant hose onto it (i'd have to cut the new coolant hose, too).
