Thanks for the tip. I did some research and found that
GermanAutoParts.com sells NEW axle assemblies for the A4 at $99.50.
Without knowing the condition of the CV I have, and the lack of a
garage since moving, I decided this will be the much easier route.
Thanks to everyone who replied.
If only parts for our urS cars were as cheap as many of the parts for
the A4s. Of course, since they probably sold 100 A4s for every S car,
it's just a pipe dream.
