Agreed.  The ebay prices are out of line.  My guess is that this is because
Valentine will not ship detectors to states/provinces where radar detectors
are illegal, thereby distorting the used market somewhat.

As you say, the newer detectors are cheaper to upgrade.  And I think one of
the best reasons to go with the V1 is their ongoing R&D and upgrade policy.
That and the arrows.
