Don't count on the S6 Avant being lighter- I thought they're about the same,
due to the difference between
the steel bodied S6 and the aluminum S8?
Is your UrS stock suspension? If not, you have to compare apples to apples.
Judging by the demo drive I
got by a pro driver, the S8 is a very good handling car.
The S6 might not have the power potential of the S8 due to the tighter
engine compartment- manifolds might
not be the same- IIRC, the intake manifold of the S8 is different from the
S6.
Maybe I'm being overly harsh, but the RS6 is a big, heavy, freight train of
a car- very nice thrust when you need
to pull out to pass at 120+ on the Autobahn, but it's not all that great for
driving in the States- the fuel range is
terrible. It needs a 30 gallon fuel tank, then it would be a decent highway
cruiser, although the ride is not that
great on those 19" wheels.
