[s-cars] 2.5 Liter 3B/AAN

Hello Audifans,

 

Has anyone built a 2.5 liter 3b/AAN engine? If so did you start with the VW
2.5 Liter Block? I think that VW has forged rods but I do not know if they
can withstand 100 horses per rod. I think that the rods are 159MM in length
and are the same as the 2.0 Jetta rods. The pistons from a twenty valve
might be usable if you were to put a reduction bushing in the wrist pin slot
of the connecting rod. Otherwise, you are looking at 2 grand just to get
started for pistons and rods.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.
