Bob: Appreciate your comments and insights. However, I have done
nothing except replace the dead coil pack and all the bucking is gone.
Same software (MRC RS2) and same 1.9 bar spring at the same setting./

Dave,
I betcha your bucking was bouncing off the boost limiter. You really
shouldn't need the stiff spring beyond what is available through
adjusting the perch position. The ECU uses the WGFV to prevent
hitting the limiter (among other things) but if the spring is there
overriding the ECU's efforts it bucks.
When a coil goes bad you get a miss, not what I would call
bucking. The bucking is a MAJOR source of discomfort which feels
like it needs fixing NOW! A miss is an annoyance which you want to
fix soon. At least that's my thinking.
