Ted,

Ah HA! Finally someone who's fessing up. I posted a
while back and asked for anyone who had a 3071 and a
Stromung/Stock DP. No one answered. My 3071 had the
same issue only more like an inch toward the firewall
and over toward the fender. I ended up having to take
the car and get the wastegate tube butchered so it
would work.

I'm surprised no one else had this issue...
