[s-cars] Late Model S6 Ignition Keys

AFAIK, its in the same location as I suggested to Mike, under the rear
seat (did I say rear?), rear seat, near the driver's side (LHD) of the
car. There should be an antenna wire leading away and up be hind the
rear seat back in a sedan. I haven't tried this but apparently, for the
avants, the wire is not normally run up into the folding seat back, so
if you fish the wire up between the seat and its rear carpet covering,
the range can be improved.

Then there is the under the chin technique.

And a new one I found out on Saturday: instead of holding the fob flat,
have it on edge when you point and squeeze. Don't ask me why that works
but it did with reproducible results.

A quick question...

Where's the receiver on the '97 and '98? My son's '97 has a range
of about 2 feet, and I understand that on some of these systems,
reorienting the antenna can make a difference. Is this true for
the late cars?

Thanks!

Lee
