[s-cars] Was "Starter" Now "Valve Cover Gasket"

Hi all:

Thanks all for the help with the starter. It was very similar to my
experiences with my old 5000 and I had the new one swapped in in about 20
minutes.

Upon closer examination, my ignition switch seems to be a tad sticky (it
works fine 80- 90% of the time, but won't return to the "run" position the
other 10% - 20% of the time). I'll replace the IS as soon as the part
arrives. Thanks to everyone who gave me the heads up on that. In this case,
the failure is quite subtle and I may not have noticed it unless I was
looking for it.

I was worried about rusted bolts on the starter making removal a PITA, but
that wasn't a problem. The bolts had been getting nicely lubed via a oil
leak at the back of the Valve Cover, and removal was painless. However,
while the ease of removal was a nice surprise, I don't think I want to keep
this leak "active" just so the bolts holding the starter don't rust into
place.

I purchased the VC gasket and, like the starter, replacing this gasket looks
like a very straightforward job. Any subtleties (like the ignition switch)
that I should be aware of?

The rain is gone and the sun is coming out, so perfect weather for this
shade tree mechanic.

Thanks in advance for the help.
