The Atacama interior is definitely the nicest, the Nordkap blue is a close
second. Gobi beige is bleah- like the Ecru in the UrS- hard to keep clean,
needs lots of conditioning and TLC, finish flakes off easily.
The later cars w/ interior facelift have a nicer interior- more wood or
other trim makes a big difference when it's mostly in the center stack,
which on my car is all grey plastic.
I'll bet that if Koni FSDs (at the very least) were available for the R, it
would ride a whole lot better as well. Ohlins remote reservoir shocks like
the 1st gen. cars would be the sh*t.
I own one and have put about 22k on the car, so any questions, please ask
away.
I'll say one thing- the brakes are a whole lot better on the R vs. an UrS-
the back end doesn't get really light even when you brake hard. I've always
had that issue with the type 44 and the UrS.
I have to drive a stick version to see if the transmission makes a huge
difference or not.
