Never had trouble with Blau... but understand your position.
The WG flex line will leak and/or rattle if the flanges are not flat. The flex line itself has a "lip" that is larger than the ID of the flange... but it isn't very thick. But because of this lip, it will seal if your flanges are flat. I do not use the gaskets. After a long time, the flange does show a little soot, indicating that it seeps somewhat. But it isn't audible.

great guys, thanks
dave, i used to be a very faithful customer to that shameful
wisconsin shop, disgracing the state i was born in, with whom i spent
thousands,, until they sold me a bad,,&expensive camshaft (just saw the
receipt from web-cam yesterday) and then didnt want to know me or care about
their faithful customer anymore. i was surprised and appalled to say the
least.
excuse me,,
that aside, absolutely i do plan on buying doubles of the line gaskets since
i will be removing the turbo,, also on the flanges for the corrugated pipe,
doesnt the metal from the actual flex section protrude slightly onto the
flange? are you running gasketless?? theres a little buzz/rattle that i
hear/see simultaneously of the corrugated pipe itself while revving the
motor, that once only existed when warming up.. moreso why im inclined to
retain gaskets there..
steve, much obliged,, i really need to load etka,, i have it but want it to
save to externalHD to keep a minimum on my laptop,, dont know how to do
that..
the one beneath the bowl as you put it is the one that looks worst,,
talking to the dealership over the phone 1/2 hour to no avail,, only the
suggestion that i'd need to purchase the entire wastegate. nothanks
& yes after not typing while on the phone w/my girlfriend theres not one
EM>WG, & that seat lends itself to a better seal..
thanks for the numbers big time!,, by the time i checked email the local
dealer stopped picking up his phone,, but maybe scott mockry could conjure
something since i now have the p/n's
thanks again!
