Bill,
For what it's worth when my fuel pump died it just died,
It didn't sputter, it didj't do nuttin!
Chris.
Bill I JUST experienced Chris' description 5 days ago. Went in for beer,
shut off a running car,
Came out with cool rack, car started, in a lame manner and seemed to TRY
to run, but sputtered and seemed like it
Was running out of gas. Just that quick at 156K miles.
WRT clunking I don't know what to tell ya' I'll send the links fro D
Forgie I used to jump +12V to the fuel pump Fuse
To verify that said pump had power. But it didn't run. Was great to see
Doug G keep me company for the sunny exhange period. <<Fuel pump
function test.doc>> <<Fuel pump-easy removal.doc>> <<Fuel Pump
Replacement Procedure.doc>>
I'll ALSO send the useful post Marc and Tom informed me about to slide
out the pump without removing the basket.
If that's yer problem, get a $90 fuel pump and starting siphoning out
the fuel.
Lemme know if you get the attachments referred above.
