Yes, assuming the block and bellhousing simply bolt up, that'd make the most
sense. The rest is just wiring and plumbing, right? :)

Wouldn't a 4.2L graft into a C4 make the most sense, considering that such
a setup was actually produced?

That would be interesting, especially since the 2.5's will be in such
abundance at some point. Wonder how much they're changing the internals
and
compression ratio for the turbo'd TT-RS app?
Speaking of something wierder, has anyone done an LS1/6/7 swap to
quattro
drivetrain? Or, any other V8, for that matter... I love the AAN, but
I'll
put a dollar on an LS1 being lighter, if nothing else...

Maybe this is not doable, but has anyone really checked to see if newer
engines can be put in the C4s?
The upcoming TT-RS is supposed to have a turbo I-5, 2.5L with over
350hp.
That engine would make a nice basis for a buildup, no? Based on the
2.5LRabbit block, so a non-direct-injected build should be doable
unless it's
impossible to set the engine up for longitudinal layout, which I doubt.
I don't think anyone here is really interested in doing a total swap,
like a
Volvo I-5 or something weirder, like a Cayenne engine.
