If they are like the 5k bushings (and most other ones that I've seen on
other makes) they have an outer shell of metal or hard plastic that is
molded into the rubber just under the outer surface. If you try to poke one
with a pin or something you should find the metal shell. Filling the holes
and gaps in the center of the bushing wont impede pressing them in since the
tension comes from that ~1mm coating of rubber and the metal shell.
