True Dat... But you won't get better range with the current switchblade,
you need to upgrade to aftermarket unit, same mod should apply. A Viper
210HV alarm works good. Attached is the "almost finished" write up that
George Kostiuk did on his UrS6.

It appears that this mod is for the IR remote system found on the
1992-1995.
Not sure if the same applies for the RF systems found in the later
S-cars (1995.5-1997).

Even if it did work, you would lose the OEM transmitter - in Fred's and
mine's case, the switchblade.
