Agreed. I used to work on a few Citroens (old SM's) and every bit of info 
you can find for those cars says that in a pinch you are much better off 
using engine oil over ATF. The hydraulic oil they use is very simmilar to 
our CHF11S, though in my (non-technical) opinion it seems to be alot 
thinner...and alot more expensive (especially since the resoviour holds 2+ 
gallons of the stuff!!!!).
