[s-cars] Clutchless in Seattle.

Thanks Brian,
I got the Pedal out and was wondering how the "H" I was going to get the Over Center Spring back in!
I was thinking I'd make a tool similar to that shown in the Bentley manual but not knowing the proper length might be a bit of a problem. Zip Tie ought to work just fine, "Yeh that's the ticket"!

I think I'll opt for a new pedal as an old one will just be that much closer to failure again.
Aluminum is a poor choice for a clutch pedal, it WILL fail, just a matter of time as Aluminum has no fatigue limit. Thankfully they didn't make the Brake Pedal out of aluminum.

I initially thought it was the Clutch master cylinder Push Rod failing again! but not to be, this is an easier fix however! Not sure what the cost of a new pedal is though!

Thankfully I was close to home and not in a rush to be somewhere.
The Master Cylinder Push Rod failed in Florence on the Oregon Coast in December 2003 and that made a long drive home to Seattle.

John

  yeah thats no fun.

im on my 2nd pedal(used) as well

took me over an hour the first time, surely could do it in less next time, the best advice i got from the list was to zippytie the over center spring compressed to aid the install.

other than that its, replacing like removed,, lube a little and she'll be fine
