That really would have been a sight to see, pretty darn funny if you ask me.

I got a taste of BMWs and bad weather driving my ex-boss's E39 M5, did a
downshift going into an off-ramp in wet, very cold weather and got on the
gas, had the DSTC light flash madly on the cluster. Fortunately, electronic
nannies helped. Drifting the boss' M5 with him in it would not have been a
good idea, especially in rush hour traffic in Manhattan. I was used to the
stability of quattro in my 200 and the turbo lag and relative lack of
torque- a big naturally aspirated V-8 makes a ton more torque and the
throttle response happens _right_now_ with those 8 butterflies opening up
simultaneously.
