You're taking it wrong- my point is that a smaller car that's lighter and
has pretty comparable power to weight is going to kill the bigger, heavier
car.

Considering that the 335i can lap about as fast as the E46 (last gen. I-6 M3
to you) M3, the M5 is not going to be able to keep up at the track either.

That combo is about the best that BMW has done in a long time- the 335i and
535i are the sh*t in my book. And I'm just talking about how they drive and
feel- they're ugly as sin in my book and iDrive sucks, so I'm not inclined
to be a fan of the newer BMWs anyway.

Just for the daily commute, I'd probably pick the M5, though- with a proper
exhaust, that V-8 sounds amazingly good. It sucks down gas like crazy and
the car doesn't feel as good as its predecessors, but that V-8 is totally
sweet.

Kind of like how I prefer to drive the Miata than the STi, although on
paper, the STi kills the Miata in every aspect of performance.
