[s-cars] My butt momentarily in a BMW

We have a winner!
Yes, abysmal resale is the reason I first got into both Alfas and
Audis. That original 4kq I bought set me back a king's ransomely sum
of $2000. And it was in perfect working condition (no, not "for an
Audi" - everything actually worked correctly.)
My first Alfa was a rusty '79 Spider. Which was fine mechanically,
but hitting the downslope on the body. Oh, and the electrics were a
little weird until I replaced some ground wires and fittings. :)
But seriously - in 11 years, are these $60-75k cars going to be the
$11k creampuffs that our S-cars are? Well, $8-10k now, but when you
bought them...
I doubt it. For whatever reason, Audi resale STILL sucks. But I
don't buy cars as investments. I buy them to DRIVE them.
Dave - there's only one worse automotive "investment" - a Chrysler
Corp. minivan. The resale on those beasts after a couple of years is
absolutely awful. Wretched. Terrible.
