Kent Moody Bad Puppy'd his soul:

<<<I would love to own that car. I would hate to pay a mechanic to fix
it.
I would hate to be the DIY home mechanic facing a repair task. But what
joy on the road.>>>

Jah. I clicked off many WOT miles (is there any other kind, really?) in
Jim Pasqualooney's former B6 Avant. I really really liked it as an
overall package. Sure there were a few quibbles here / there, but none
overly glaring. The power is nicely elastic, the gearing is great, the
shifter fantastic, the steering and balance confidence inspiring. Could
use a bit more torque, if anything.

I exclamated at the time that interior fit me like an Armani Suit (like
I've ever worn one). The fit / finish / materials / layout was just
right. Very tactile / sensory rewarding. Wing'd Recaro's in all 4
positions - what's not to like? VERY nice. Size / room-wise, I was
pleasantly surprised that the rear shoulder room was more than I had
expected, and found it more than liveable which is way more than can be
said for a B5.

Agreed tho - run for the hills come service time. Eegads is that a
tight shoehorn - no thanks. Rossato's hands would be too big to work in
there so I'd be defenseless...

All in all a very neat car - Paul Approved! Which means nada / zilch /
nothing.

-Paul enjoyin der UrS8 more with each WOT upshift that passes K.
