Aaron,
You are talking about 2 different components (caliper/carrier) with a G60
setup. I doubt that the $45 caliper is going to also include a rebuilt
carrier. You should start by cleaning and greasing the carrier slides and
fileing the pad contact areas flat. The slide boots can be reused if they
are not torn or dryrotted. If the carrier pins are rusty or loose, the
carrier should be replaced. A sticky caliper will usually cause the brake
to run very hot and you will get vibration from disc warpage. Per the
recent posts, upgrades will not significantly increase stopping power,
only reduce fade.
