After the 2006 Nationals at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, I may be
on a Hertz's list of some kind or another.  
Did you know they also rent Nisan 350Zs?  In addition to checking all the
other things you mention, I suggest a quick look at the brake pads, front
and rear, and depending on your schedule, a call to either a local Nissan
parts dealer to pick up a spare set "just in case" or if you are really
lucky, finding a local Hawk pad supplier with the right parts.  Just a
suggestion .... good way to safe guard your "... *rumored to be more fun
than you'd think" time
