Does anyone on the list have significant experience with the BMW AWD
systems-
pre-xDrive and xDrive?

BMW 3 series, 5 series, X3 and X5 are on my list, but I need to know more
about the
AWD and how it handles snow and ice.

That Borg-Warner system sounds like utter crap. What's the point of AWD if
you get stuck
everywhere? Even the simple VC systems work better than that.
