What totally surpises me its that a Grand Cherokee could have such a suck
system.

THAT couldn't be "Trail-Rated" could it?

In spite of the Saabaru's instability (FWIW, it has an LSD rear diff,
T_rs_n, center, 50%/50% split) it still did really quite well in 9"+ of
broken fresh snow. One of the "car poolers" (read, wimp, they could've
driven in today) thought that there was really 12" of snow on the road,
broken. Somehow, I doubt I would've made it through that, nor would I have
tried.
