My bad, Me forgots that Viscous centers are not T_rs_ns.
The 9-2X sales lit (when I bought the car) claimed a rear torsen LSD. I've
never noticed
when I've had the car jacked up, whether or not that is true. Guess I missed
my chance
the other day when I rotated my tires.
As for the autos (4EAT) I DO know that it's an electronic LSD. Having driven
a couple of
later 4EATs (ex GF's '03 LGT, yeah, not the fun one) I'd have to say that
they've improved
signicantly over the 13 years of my parent's '90 4EAT Legacy. That car was
soooo ridiculous,
in a very similar fashion to Taka's Haldex experiences. Even in the wet, the
car's traction
was unpredictable. Trying to jump out into heavy traffic would get lots of
front wheelspin, so
you then back off, feeling like getting into said road needed to wait, and
THEN the car's
center diff would grip and start sending the car into the intersection. Sort
of scary and frustrating.
The '03 was much better in that respect, but it still had a sort of two step
action. At least
the MT5 viscous diff doesn't have that problem.
