Elijah,
I have been having a similar noise in my '95.5 S6 over past two weeks, as well! My noise is intermittent, in that I only hear the squealing noise when I have my foot off the gas pedal. As soon as I BARELY touch the gas, the noise is gone. At first I was worried this was a transmission noise, but that may not be the case. Did you notice that you had the same relationship with the gas pedal and the noise?
Thanks,
Keith Bedard

Ok, I took the serpentine belt off and it looks like the wheel/pully that the fan hooks to is the culprit. If I remember right this is attached to a bracket that has to be replaced at the same time. Where can I buy these parts fast? Thanks,
Elijah

Well, I think you'll have to pull the main serpentine belt off and see what's locked up. I would guess the AC compressor is locked up, but you'll know for sure when you pull the belt off.
