[s-cars] NAC 2002 Chev Astro CRAP

The fluid was changed once, it does carry a load all the time... maybe 1000 lbs ?
My employee drives it better than I did, but I never drove it SUPER hard.. I do drive fast though...
Maybe I am the guilty party here :-)
I really feel GM should eat it, but I think I would have a long fight, and as the truck makes money only when it's on the road.. it needs to be fixed right away.

Thanks

Mark

  Mark,
Don't feel too bad- my boss' 1999 Suburban is on its third transmission and
fourth transfer case, has 201k or so.

If Audi made a work truck, it would be extraordinarily complex, difficult to service
and require a million specialized tools and equipment to work on. Do you really want
  that? :-)

Seriously, was any service done on it, ever? Was the fluid changed? Filter? How
was it driven? Like it was stolen, all the time?

You should read the debate on the Car Lounge about the new Tundra- it's amazing how
brand-loyal people are when it comes to full-size trucks.

I have a work truck (2002 Chevy Astro) that has a whole 75,000 KM on it.
My employee just called me to say that the transmission failed... no more reverse.
It's a whole 15,000 KM out of warranty....

I suspect yall can tell I am none to happy....

What should I do, bring it to the dealer and prepare for war, or just take it to a transmission place and take my lumps for buying GM crap... God I wish Audi made a work truck :-)

    Thanks for any suggestions

(maybe it got stolen, and burned up in a fire... yeah that's it)
