[s-cars] AC or FMIC

in search of:  The List opinions and knowledge,
  
   I have  the  S6+ front end and cannot fit FMIC inside  it without hacking the guts from the bumper, I dont really want to cut  it up.  I have not used my AC in 4 years due to a knocking  compressor and my forgetting to install a new one when I had the belts  off.  My thoughts are to pull the condensor out and replace with  an FMIC.  Will pulling the AC give me enough room to add  FMIC?  I have also considered trying to fit the B5 ICs to my car  but figuered there would little to no gain.
