[s-cars] An interesting thought experiment...

I'll second that. While I haven't (yet) gotten into alternative turbos,
injectors, or EMs, it is my understanding that the software is really
only tuned for the injectors. Since the AAN came with MAF, MAP, and
intake air temp sensors, it can always determine the exact amount of air
entering the engine. What I mean is, with only a MAP sensor, the ECU
only knows the pressure, but we all know that different setups flow more
or less air at the same pressure. That's where the MAF and IAT sensors
come in. Technically, you should only need any two of these sensors to
have all the necessary data, but I can't see how all three would hurt
anything. The only catch is that the software has to know pretty
exactly what kind of injectors you have. Overall, the setup makes basic
tuning very easy.
-Cheers!

I have run a bunch of different turbos with the hybrid RS2 software that Steve Eiche/Bob Patore have, and all had good results. The results were confirmed both on the dyno, and using a wideband O2 sensor monitoring A/F ratios.
