[s-cars] Strange HID light problem

The multi-function switch is your most likely culprit, Bob. I would
guess
in the high beam selector wiring. Are the high beams working?
I have read reports of spraying cleaner on the switch without removing
anything, but I doubt that can help much. The good news is that the
stalk is available from online sources at a reasonable price and the
replacement is not difficult.
