[s-cars] My '93 For Sale??? Feeler...

Hey folks,

I've only had my S4 since about October, and I'm thinking of selling. While
I really love the car, I no longer need the size. We got an Expedition for
people hauling and towing a couple months ago, and I find myself rarely
hauling more than one other individual in the S4. I'd like to get back into
a Miata for the daily commute, and I found a nice example today.

So, The car is Pearl/Ecru, has 104K miles, completely stock, body and paint
are 8 out of 10 (clearcoat is cracked in places, but not obvious), interior
is the same (leather has been retouched), and the car is about 8 out of 10
overall, I think. All of the issues I know of haven't been diagnosed yet,
I've just been driving it and have only changed the oil and filled with gas.
I'll be 100% honest, and I'm not looking to make money here, just get into a
similar value car without changing monthly payment much. I'll probably ask
about $7,000, and I'll stay pretty firm on that. I think that's fair, and
all the issues with the car are pretty minor, IMO. If I knew these cars any
better, I probably be more inclined to keep it, but the learning curve is
fairly high as most of you know, and I'm eager to get back into what I know
well.

I have replaced the O2 sensor, air filter, running Mobil 1 full synthetic
and Mann oil filter, new spark plugs, instrument cluster brighter bulbs
upgrade, ECS snub mount.

Known Issues:

-Cruise control not working, haven't tried to figure out

-A/C compressor is noisy, but works. Probably not as cold as it should be.
I am choosing not to use it until I get someone to look at it.

-One wheel is very slightly bent on outside, but not a functional problem,
all wheels have a bit of clearcoat gone around rim

-Brake pedal is soft, needs to be bled, but passes bomb test - I have a set
of stainless lines, slotted rotors, G60 calipers and performance pads I got
second hand from another lister, but never installed that I will include.

-Cold start issue I haven't been able to track down, but runs fine after
about 1 minute. Makes plenty of power and shows 15-17psi on the VDO boost
gauge I installed.

-Could use shocks, they've got to be the original. A bit too much dive
under braking for my tastes.

-Missing the left and right lower grilles in front

-2 scratches on passenger's side that have been touched up, pretty minor,
really

-Sunroof control panel has a broken tab, and hangs down on one side.

-Passenger map light switch is broken

-Lower door trim peeling back on driver's door, and upper door trim on front
passenger's door could be replaced.

I totally expected to add performance chip, suspension, and do general
maintenance on this car, and drive it for as long as it would run. With the
SUV sorta taking it's place as the comfortable cruiser (OK, I know, no
comparison) I don't need it like I did, and I'd love to get 30MPG again with
another Miata...

Several pics here, and the one's with captions are from when I first got the
car...
