Bob,

Give a Mac a shot, whether it's a pro model or not.  With the latest Intel
processors, you can actually run Windows at the same time as you're running
OSX, although if you're just using it for web browsing & DVD burning, using
the native Mac apps will more than get you by & probably run better than a
bloated Vista desktop.

What are you using it for, mainly?
