You're making a rather inaccurate statement:
That's like saying the 4.8L engine in the Silverado is the same engine as
the
LS-7 in the Corvette Z-06. Basically the same engine, different tuning.
The A8 engine is most definitely different than the RS4 or R8 engine.
Different
cams, cylinder heads, valves, software, etc.
Don't tell me that the 1.8T in the Beetle Turbo and TT225 engines are the
same as well.
