Indeed. Luckily, I had subscribed to The List and read Audiworld for
quite some time before buying. I know these asshol..., errr, fine
fellows were JNR from the first reading of the posts.
We've been Audi-only for some years now. The Pink Tornado (1990 80q,
was Tornado Red, now faded), the Mean Green Avant Machine (green '94
100S Avant) and a nice UrS6 in a soothing silver. Before these there
was a sort of parade of 4000s of various types and conditions.
Don't worry about the money. Second mortgages were invented for such
things. Let the kids work their way through college, just like the
old man did. The slope is calling you. Give in. Strap on skis and
go for broke. Broke, get it? :)
The East Coast S-car mafia and Colorado S-car mafia are a little
scary, until you get to know them.
Then they're downright nightmare-worthy. JNR defined.
Don't mind them. We west-coasters are very level-headed. I promise.
No, I did not hear any evil cackling - what do you mean?
Subject change: Sciroccos? Who said Sciroccos? I LOVED my Scirocco,
and am sad she expired. At 300k miles, she was a solid performer,
always. I'd have another in a second. Except this time, I'd like a
2.0T FSI mated to a LSD 6-speed.
And Recaros. Soooo, who's got that '81 Scirocco S for sale? Mod
money? 3rd mortgage, I tells you...
JNRing for Der List,
Eric
P.S. Paul's writing style is infectious. Look out. And Welcome.
MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!. Ahem.
