As of right now, I'm still leaning toward an unobtanium A4 3.2q Avant
6-speed or 328xiT Sport 6-speed, used, never will find either one without a good measure of luck and timing.

what about an A4 avant quattro with 2.0 FSI and 6-speed?  the 2.0 FSI is a pretty strong engine, and seems to respond well to turbo upgrades.  i had a loaner with tiptronic, and it was no slouch at all.
